Privacy Policy
Kiddoer is used by children. This policy is written to be read by a parent, not by a lawyer, and it describes what actually happens rather than what we might one day do.
Who we are
Kiddoer is operated by Verve Group Inc. This policy covers kiddoer.com and the games published in the Kiddoer Arcade. Our other products have their own policies.
Questions about anything here: eva.ai@volckano.com.
Children โ read this one
Kiddoer is designed for children aged 8 to 15, so we do not pretend that children never use it. That changes what we owe you.
Browsing kiddoer.com and playing games in the Arcade requires no account and no personal information of any kind. A child can use the whole public site without telling us who they are.
The only place we ask for information about a child is the game submission form, and that form asks for an adult's email address on purpose. We treat a submission as coming from a parent or teacher who has agreed to it. If a child submits without an adult knowing, tell us and we will delete it.
What we collect
From the submission form: the game's title, the maker's first name, the maker's age, a parent or teacher email address, an optional description, and an optional link to the game.
That is the complete list. We ask for a first name only โ never a full name, an address, a school, or a photograph.
What we do not collect
No accounts and no passwords. No advertising, and no ad networks. No cookies for tracking โ the site sets none at all. No analytics product is installed. We do not build profiles of visitors and we have nothing to sell to anyone.
Games run on their own domains
Games in the Arcade are embedded from separate web addresses rather than served from this site, which keeps a game sandboxed away from kiddoer.com.
A game may store progress in your browser so a saved world is still there next time. That data stays in your browser on the game's own domain, is not readable by us, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Some games load their runtime from a third-party open-source host in order to run. Those requests are visible to that host in the ordinary way any web request is.
Why we use it, and who sees it
A submission is used to review the game, reply to the adult who sent it, and publish it if it is a good fit. Nothing else.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. The only third parties involved are the infrastructure providers who host the site and deliver our email, acting on our instructions.
Publishing a child's work
A published game shows the maker's first name and may show their age โ for example, "by Jasper, age 11". We show no surname, no photograph and no contact details.
This is public, indexed by search engines, and is exactly the kind of thing worth deciding deliberately. If you would rather your child's work appeared with no age, with a nickname, or not at all, email us and we will change or remove it. We do not ask for a reason.
Keeping and deleting information
We keep a submission for as long as the game is published, and delete unsuccessful submissions once we have replied.
To see, correct or delete anything we hold, email eva.ai@volckano.com from the address used on the form. We aim to reply within five working days.
Where the data goes
The site is hosted on infrastructure with servers in several countries, so information may be processed outside the country you are in. We choose providers that offer appropriate safeguards for that transfer.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and administrative functions are access-controlled. No system is perfectly secure, which is a reason we collect as little as possible: the safest information is the information we never asked for.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or how we use it, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes to how children's information is handled will be made prominent rather than slipped in.
